Zechariah Literally

I am going to comment on Zechariah, but I want to tell you up front I might not understand every symbol in it.  The four carpenters comes to mind here, but I will do my best for you and tell you what I do know, and let you along with me pray about the parts that are deeply hidden in parable.

First lets notice why Father is upset with His people.  Do you think that what upsets our Father has changed?  Do you think that what the church has done by changing His Word and HIs worship and HIs holy days might have something to do with His getting a tad upset with them too?

Zec 1:1  In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the Word of Jehovah came to Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, 
Zec 1:2  With wrath Jehovah has been angry with your fathers. 

One thing I notice about the average Bible reader is this, they don’t understand Israel at all.  First of all Israel did not obey Father from the beginning and they were punished for it .  They were thrown out of the land for it, both Israel and Judah.  Then instead of obeying HIm, they took the Torah and added to it, making something just so abominable called the Talmud.  ADDING TO FATHER’S WORD IS AS BAD AS TAKING AWAY FROM IT.Let me add this, things like Gematria, or numbers of the Bible that mean things , spiritually.  That is adding to the Word of Father.  No where is that in His Word as a way to do things.  Its a part of the added religion of the Jews called Kabbalah, a way to “spirituality”.  The question here is what spirit are you finding when you look to those things?

Zec 1:3  And you say to them, So says Jehovah of Hosts: Turn back to Me, says Jehovah of Hosts, and I will turn back to you, says Jehovah of Hosts. 
Zec 1:4  Do not be as your fathers, to whom the former prophets have proclaimed to them, saying, So says Jehovah of Hosts: Turn back now from your evil ways and your evil doings. But they did not hear or pay attention to Me, says Jehovah. 
Zec 1:5  Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever? 
Zec 1:6  But My Words and My statutes which I commanded My servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? And they turned back and said, As Jehovah of Hosts purposes to do to us, according to our ways and according to our doings, so He has done with us. 

Father warned Israel that with the Commandments came blessing and cursing.  If they obeyed a blessing, if they disobeyed a cursing.  They are still living under the cursing.  They are not obeying Father and stopping there.  They are obeying the Rabbi’s of Babylon and continue to do rituals that Father never intended to be done.

Zec 1:7  On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, it is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the Word of Jehovah was to Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, 
Zec 1:8  I saw at night. And, behold! A Man riding on a red horse. And He stood among the myrtle trees in the ravine. And behind Him were red, sorrel, and white horses. 
Zec 1:9  Then I said, My lord, what are these? And the angel who was speaking with me said to me, I will show you what these are. 
Zec 1:10  And the Man who stood among the myrtle trees answered and said,

These are those whom Jehovah has sent to walk to and fro through the earth. 

This is the same knowledge and unclean physical bodies that we find in Revelation in the same form.  Think this:  the horse has been let out of the barn.  It was too late to undo what the fallen angels had done.  Father had to let what evil they created by their mating and teaching women , giving them the knowledge of evil, run its course through humanity and our history.

Zec 1:11  And they answered the Angel of Jehovah who stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sits still and is at rest. 

This is the time of the end coming.

Zec 1:12  And the Angel of Jehovah answered and said, O Jehovah of Hosts, until when will You not have pity on Jerusalem, and on the cities of Judah, against which You have abhorred these seventy years? 

He declare HIs time to be seventy generations in the book of Enoch.

Zec 1:13  And Jehovah answered the angel who was talking with me with good words, words of comfort. 
Zec 1:14  So the angel who was talking with me said to me, Cry out, saying, So says Jehovah of Hosts: I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion, with a great jealousy. 
Zec 1:15  And with great anger I am angered at the nations at ease; in that I was but a little angry, and they gave help for evil. 
Zec 1:16  So Jehovah says this: I have returned to Jerusalem with compassions; My house shall be built in it, says Jehovah of Hosts, and a line shall be stretched over Jerusalem. 
Zec 1:17  Cry out again, saying, So says Jehovah of Hosts: My cities shall again overflow with goodness, and Jehovah shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem. 
Zec 1:18  Then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and, behold, four horns! 

Horns always represent seats of power.

Zec 1:19  And I said to the angel who was talking with me, What are these? And he answered me, These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. 

Zec 1:20  And Jehovah made me see four craftsmen. 

I have no idea who or what these craftsmen are.but I do know that they will do what Father has declared to us:

Zec 1:21  And I said, What are these coming to do? And He spoke, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man lifts up his head. But these have come to terrify them, to throw down the horns of the nations who lifted up their horn over the land of Judah, to scatter it. 

Zec 2:1  I lifted up my eyes again and looked, and, behold, A man, and a measuring line in his hand! 
Zec 2:2  And I said, Where are you going? And he said to me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its breadth and what is its length. 

Seems John and Zechariah are seeing the same event here.

Zec 2:3  And, behold, the angel who was talking with me went out, and another angel went out to meet him, 
Zec 2:4  and said to him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem will dwell like unwalled villages, for the multitude of men and livestock in her midst. 
Zec 2:5  And I will be to her a wall of fire all around, and I will be for glory in her midst, declares Jehovah. 

Note this is not like any city in the world we know yet.  This is the city where YHWH lives on earth, the city to come New Jerusalem, not the city that we know now.

Zec 2:6  Ho! Ho! Flee then from the land of the north, says Jehovah. For I have scattered you as the four winds of the heavens, declares Jehovah. 
Zec 2:7  Ho, O Zion! Escape, you who live with the daughter of Babylon. 
Zec 2:8  For so says Jehovah of Hosts: He has sent Me after glory, to the nations who plundered you; for he who touches you touches the pupil of His eye. 

Father is going to pour out His wrath on all the nations that hurt His people and His land.

Zec 2:9  For, behold, I will shake My hand over them, and they shall be a prize for their servants. And you shall know that Jehovah has sent Me. 
Zec 2:10  Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion. For, lo, I come; and I will dwell among you, says Jehovah. 
Zec 2:11  And many nations shall be joined to Jehovah in that day, and they shall be My people. And I will dwell among you; and you shall know that Jehovah of Hosts has sent Me to you. 

But many will comeo out of the time of wrath to become believers in Messiah and Father’s truth, ways and commandment.

Zec 2:12  And Jehovah shall possess Judah, His portion in the holy land, and He shall again choose Jerusalem. 
Zec 2:13  All flesh, be silent before Jehovah. For He is raised up out of His holy habitation. 

There will be peace on the earth as before the fall.
