No 'mansions' in the Father's house, Jesus was confirming the deep longing of the RIGHTEOUS for centuries

For all of its immense value the KJV of the Bible still tipped its hat to Rome…{and obviously Pharisee Paul} with its INTERPRETATION of Scripture; We’ll call it the Scofield of its day because of its doctrinal errors which stem from ignoring the Old Testament: the Torah and the prophets, “Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled”.

The word translated as ‘mansion’ appears later (and only once more in the entire New Testament) in John chapter 14…and could never mean that particlar English word because your ‘mansion’ would not fit inside the human body…

²³ Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our ABODE [individual-dwelling, μονὴν (monēn):Strong's 3438] with him.

² In my Father’s house are many ABODES [individual-dwellings, μοναὶ (monai):Strong's 3438]: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

The ‘place’ prepared for you is NOT a decked out pad in a big house…it is a spot in the congregation of the righteous, a place within a family, an attachment to a vine, an eternal relationship, and all of those other descriptions Christ used to convey the nature of living in the coming kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

Please notice the condition or requirement in verse 23 “If a man love me, he will KEEP MY WORDS“…and keep His commandments (verses 15, 21)

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOR EVER.” Psalm 23:6

¹ Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

² Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

³ Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the Lord, speak, saying, The Lord hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.

⁴ For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

⁵ EVEN UNTO THEM WILL I GIVE IN MINE HOUSE AND WITHIN MY WALLS A PLACE AND A NAME better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

⁶ Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

⁷ Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in MY HOUSE OF PRAYER: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for MINE HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED AN HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL PEOPLE.

Isaiah 56

“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.” Psalm 27:4

“And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, WHERE I WILL DWELL IN THE MIDST OF THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL FOR EVER, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places.” Ezekiel 43:7

¹ How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!

² My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

³ Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.

⁴ BLESSED ARE THEY THAT DWELL IN THY HOUSE: they will be still praising thee. Selah.

Psalm 84

¹⁶ And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

¹⁷ And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

¹⁸ And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

¹⁹ This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

²⁰ In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, Holiness Unto The Lord; and the pots in THE LORD’S HOUSE shall be like the bowls before the altar.

²¹ Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the Lord of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in THE HOUSE OF THE LORD OF HOSTS.

Zechariah 14

¹ Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.

² O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

³ Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.

⁴ Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with THE GOODNESS OF THY HOUSE, even of THY HOLY TEMPLE.

⁵ By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea:

Psalm 65

¹ Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.

² Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

³ For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.

⁴ I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers.

⁵ I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

⁶ I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O Lord:

⁷ That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

⁸ Lord, I HAVE LOVED THE HABITATION OF THY HOUSE, AND THE PLACE WHERE THINE HONOUR DWELLETH.

⁹ Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:

¹⁰ In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.

¹¹ But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.

¹² My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the Lord.
