Here I sit

With a story to write

The view will be better

If the grass is short.

The kitchen needs mending

Courier from Myntra is expected

It’s almost noon

Dishes in the sink are pending

Have to book the Indane

Hope they’ll deliver tomorrow.

There’s the dusting too

Always so much to do

But before all that

I must send that email

This is the life

When yours truly is working from home.

The story is due

Dog needs its food

Tomatoes need trimming

I’ll get around to that,

If I’ve got time.

But I’m watching the IPL

ESPN is just fine!

I’ll look at that assignment,

Use my mobile

For a little while

So that everyone knows

I’m working from home.

Here I sit on my phone dialing from home
Quarantine is such a moan
Doing work from home, alone
Work is pending
Many things need mending
I should be relenting
But instead I’m bending
Sitting in bed, Chuckle instead
Of all these things in my head,

Writing I’m sending
