My Blog's Follow By Email Widget Will Be Disappearing
This isn’t news I’m happy about, but the ability for people to follow my blog by email will soon be going away. I’ve been told that the FollowByEmail widget (FeedBurner) email subscription service will be discontinued in July 2021.
If you currently follow my blog by email, rather than visiting my Blogger website, then you probably won’t be able to get daily posts that way much longer.
I’m currently trying to find a way around the issue, but my own technical skills aren’t up to the job. I was told in a message that it might be possible to download my subscriber contacts by analysing the feed, but I couldn’t find the analyse button to do that. Yes, I’m rubbish at tech. If you think you might be able to help, please leave a comment. I’d be very grateful.
I will still be writing blog posts at www.badwitch.co.uk, and sharing them to Facebook and Twitter, so the discontinued email subscription service should only affect a small number of my readers. If you are one of them, I am very sorry.
