Charity Shop Find: Black Bowls for Samhain and Scrying
I found these two black bowls in a charity shop for 50p each. What a bargain! They’re vintage and made from Arcoroc, which is a type of toughened glass similar to Pyrex. I’m particularly delighted because they match an octagonal black tea set I found in a charity shop for £1 a few years ago. I bring that out each Halloween or Samhain – or when witchy friends come around at any time. You can find my post about that here.
These bowls will also be great to use for divination with water, and I need quite a few of that kind of thing when I teach in-person scrying workshops. I’m actually running some scrying classes on Wednesday 7 and 14 October, but they’re online so people will have to find their own bowls – they don’t have to be black – or use a crystal ball or black mirror if they own one.
