There’s now an eerie and mysterious twist to Tim Tebow’s miracle win in the NFL Playoffs.
Everyone knows the Denver Broncos quarterback kneels to pray in the end zone and wrote the Bible passage “John 3:16″ under his eyes as a college player.
Now it turns out that in Sunday’s stunning overtime win he passed for 316 yards. He averaged 31.6 yards per completion. And if that’s not enough, the TV rating was an astonishing 31.6.
CNBC‘s Darren Revelle told INSIDE EDITION, “It’s kind of a spiritual weird number combination that makes you think, “Wow, that’s almost too coincidental.”
The internet is burning up over the question if the repeated number, 316 is just coincidence or something else.
John 3:16, considered The Bible’s most popular verse was the number one Google search Monday. The passage reads: “For God so loved the word that He gave His one and only Son, whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
One blogger said of Tebow, “He makes even nonbelievers believe.”
But another blogger writes, “God cannot possibly care about who wins an NFL game.”
Here’s another stat that’s mind-blowing: There were 9,420 tweets-per-second following Sunday’s game, a number that crushes the number of tweets about the Royal Wedding and the killing of Osama Bin Laden.
Pop culture expert Cooper Lawrence told INSIDE EDITION, “After Sunday with this whole 316, whether you are going to call it coincidence or not, this really solidifies him as a legend.”
