Oakland Raiders: Terrelle Pryor Not Hard to Notice in Win Over Detroit Lions

Former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Terrelle Pryor looked virtually unstoppable in relief duty for Carson Palmer, as the Oakland Raiders claimed the home game victory against the Detroit Lions in a 31-20 win Saturday evening.

Pryor used his big 6’6″ frame to muscle his way through some blocks. He chose to tuck and run five attempts to lead the Oakland stable of rushers with 90 yards (including a long of 56 yards) and a touchdown.

Of course, that is exactly what you would expect to see after his career at Ohio State, but Pryor also shined in the passing game. On five passes thrown, the second-year signal-caller completed three attempts for 137 yards and two touchdowns.

Compared to Palmer who went 17-of-26, with no TDs and two picks, the kid who used to play in the Horseshoe in Columbus certainly turned some heads. The chemistry between wide receiver Juron Criner, who hauled in the two TD passes thrown, and Pryor is undeniable. Should Palmer stumble this season, there is little doubt Pryor may get an opportunity to impress in the regular season.
