NFL 2013 Draft Order

The following is a breakdown of the NFL 2013 draft order as it stands one day after the regular season ends. The teams that lose this wildcard weekend will slot themselves into the mid-20s of this year’s draft order.

Gridiron Experts plans to have many NFL draft prospect profiles created in the off-season, yet from what I can tell you firsthand is this year’s crop of talent seems to be very heavy in the Meat & Potatoes department. Meaning, if you are in need of a good defensive tackle, pass rusher or offensive lineman than you’re in luck, yet skilled players are a little more scarce. Pre-combine consensus is that this year’s draft class is lacking the Luck/RG3 blue-chip talent.

You shouldn’t believe everything you hear, early analysis does indicate that the 2013 draft class isn’t as strong as 2012, yet gems like Alfred Morris are being drafted in the sixth round and are breaking records for the Washington Redskins. Clearly talent is there you can find it.

*Draft order will change depending on the depth an NFL team reaches in this year’s 2012 playoffs.

• The winner of the Super Bowl will select last and the other Super Bowl participant next-to-last, regardless of their regular-season record.
• The Championship Game participants not advancing to the Super Bowl will select 29th and 30th, according to the reverse order of their standing.
• The Divisional Playoff participants not advancing to the Championship Games will select 25th through 28th, according to the reverse order of their standing.
• The Wild Card participants not advancing to the Divisional Playoffs will select 21st through 24th, according to the reverse order of their standing.
•  Non-playoff clubs will select first through 20th, according to the reverse order of their standing.
