MLB and Yahoo Fantasy Baseball’s 2013 Forecasts

Yahoo Fantasy Baseball opens its doors for the 2013 season with a few new features while analysts chime in on which MLB teams have a shot at the big dance in October.

Los Angelos, CA, United States – Fantasy and reality are coming together in grand fashion as baseball fans hit the chat forums while spring training facilities are seeing more fans than ever before. While Klein gears up for the new line of baseball pitching machines for sale, analysts from Yahoo Sports are placing their bets on which MLB reality teams will remain standing come October, as well as the statuses of a few key players. The off-season proved to be more than interesting for the Brewers, the Cubbies and a few other teams jockeying for position.

While the Giants are still the team to beat, their division rivals may beg to differ. The Dodgers are now loaded with talent from top to bottom; the one thing that remains to be seen is team chemistry. Last year’s post-mid-season blockbuster trade resulted in mild disappointment for many true-blue fanatics. A healthy Carl Crawford and the signings of hurler Zack Greinke and LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu this season can only bolster the team’s depth.

“But what about the Angels?” Klein interrupted. “Acquiring Josh Hamilton increases their firepower at the plate. There’s already been a lot of fodder about the Angels in the outfield this season and how they’ll compete with Rangers to win the division. I love speculating on these things, but you know what they say about opinions. Talk to me again at the end of April and we’ll see what’s what.”

With the season openers just over a month away, fans everywhere are revolving their lives around the diamonds of America while waiting for the boys of summer to arrive. The 2013 campaign on all fronts should prove to be much like last season: exciting and exponentially exhilarating.
