NFL Player Ethan Westbrooks Said Face Tattoo Motivated Him to Excel

Ethan Westbrooks achieved his goal when he made the 53rd man on the St. Louis Rams’ roster on Saturday. The rookie defense lineman got a tattoo on his face three years ago as inspiration to reach his dream of playing in the NFL. While his method of motivation may have been unconventional he believes it is part of the reason he succeeded.

Of course it took more than a tattoo for Westbrooks to make the Rams’ roster; he had to work hard over the last three years. Before joining the Rams, Westbrooks was a star player for West Texas A&M.  Now a proud member of the NFL, he has sported a tattoo located under his left eye which reads, “Laugh now, Cry later” for the last three years.  Every time he looked in the mirror he was reminded of his dream to succeed.
