A look at Michael Jordan’s illustrious career

Life is a road where you have to keep moving forward and hope to end up on a path that leads you to ultimate glory. We all long to achieve success but success is not something you earn overnight, and there can’t be a better precedent of this fact than Michael Jordan. Probably one of the greatest NBA players ever Jordan’s name is going to be written down in basketball’s history books forever. There are few players out there or have ever been, and that can match the level of fan following, fame and charisma that Jordan has garnered over the years.

Jordan has been heard describing basketball as a way of life more than a sport and more than a profession. He started playing basketball during college and went on to play 15 seasons in the national basketball league of America for two clubs. Critics over the years have referred to him as the most unstoppable player to have stepped on Earth. Let’s take a brief journey through Michael Jordan’s life and discuss the major contributions that he has made to basketball over the years:

1984-1988 (Early days):

During his early years, Michael Jordan played for the Chicago Bulls and while still within the first year of basketball, he went on to winning hundreds of different accolades for his performances. He was voted as an all round -star in his rookie season, and such was the mastery of his performances and the fame attention he was getting that his fellow senior team mates allegedly started envying him.

In his second season with the Bulls, he picked up a foot injury and failed to play for the most part of the season. He did, however, come back in time for the play-offs and set a record for points in a play-off by scoring 62.

In the 1987 season though, he had developed the form that he would continue for the rest of the career. He scored over 3000 points in the season and went on to set a lot many more records in the process.

1988-1991:

During this time span, Jordan won his very fast MVP award that according to him was a big turning point in his life. During these seasons, he managed to establish his defensive prowess as well as topping the charts for scoring points. He managed many blocks.

Despite Jordan’s and other young talented team members’ efforts and the leadership of an enthusiastic young coach, the Bulls lost out to Pistons for a third consecutive time even though they thrashed many NBA teams in their road to the final.

1991-1994:

These years were the turning point period for Bulls as a team and Jordan as a player. He won many other MVP awards in this time span and Bulls went on to top the division for the first time in over 15 years. The Bulls also went on to play the NBA finals for the first time in quite some time where they completely thrashed the Lakers to win the play-offs very convincingly. Jordan completely dominated the game and won many excellent buckets for the Bulls. He cried when he received the MVP trophy.
