Well, this week was officially the week of the running back…but in all the worst ways. Just loads of injuries to top backs around the league, but the other key positions weren’t spared, either. The waiver wires will be a battle field this week as most fantasy teams are going to need help in some way, shape, or form. As is the case with every NFL week, we had injuries to key guys, ranging from minor scrapes to likely season-enders. Today, we’ll look at some key injuries from week two and try to speculate on where to go from here. The magic word after watching all of the injuries this week: Patience. Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota Vikings (right knee injury): AP left Sunday night’s win against the Packers with a right knee injury, the specifics and severity of which are currently unknown. He was seen after the game on crutches wearing a knee immobilizer. The fact that he was weight bearing essentially rules out a fracture; however, his limited weight bearing could indicate possible involvement of any of the four ligaments of the knee (ACL/MCL most likely involved, if there is ligament damage) or meniscus.
