Early Struggles Brings Shot in the Arm With a Young Bright Star, Sergio Romo Returns

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

The struggling San Francisco Giants are off to a horrible start in the 2017 season. Their star catcher Buster Posey took a fastball off the helmet which sidelined him for a week. Manager Bruce Bochy had to miss a few days due to having a procedure done. Then last week we get news that the indestructible Madison Bumgarner just became human like the rest of us. The Giants ace was involved in a motor bike accident which caused him to hurt his throwing shoulder. His injury has him sidelined 6-8 weeks, and many think it can be even longer before we see him back on the mound for the Giants. With all of that chaos, the Giants have been sinking fast in the NL West, and also find themselves 2nd to last in the National League. We all know it’s still early in the season and we shouldn’t hit the panic button just yet, but the Giants are desperate for a shot in the arm…

Welcome Christian Arroyo

Yesterday the Giants made a move that gave everyone some instant hope and brought a lot of good positive vibes to their locker-room. They called up their #1 hitting prospect Christian Arroyo, and immediately gave him a start at 3rd base. Arroyo wasn’t able to get his first hit (0-4) of the season, but his presence was sure strong enough to give the Giants that jolt that they were looking for. Arroyo made some nice plays at 3rd base and helped the Giants take down the Los Angeles Dodgers by the score of 2-1.

Sergio Romo Returns

Former Giant, reliever Sergio Romo made his first visit back to AT&T Park, and the reliever was treated with class. The Giants had a video of Romo playing, and the crowd gave him a standing ovations. We hate seeing you in Dodger blue, but we’ll never forget your time in San Francisco!
