Ravens Introduce Draft Picks

Today was the first day of rookie minicamp. While the practice was closed to the public, the Ravens made 4 of their draft choices – Tyus Bowser, Tim Williams, Nico Siragusa, and Chris Wormley – available for interviews.
The compete interviews are available here.
Here are my notes and thoughts on each player:
Tyus Bowser seemed mildly uncomfortable at the microphone. When each player arrives, there is often a period of silence before the first question is asked. Tyus rocked back waiting until Ryan Mink broke the silence. He spoke in a low voice, but appeared to get more comfortable when discussing his own nervousness about his first NFL practice.
He said he was up during the night and rooming with fellow OLB Tim Williams. He and Williams had worked out prior to the draft with a training group in Dallas. He said the Ravens have told him he can’t play basketball despite the fact he played two years of college basketball at Houston. He said he is focused on camp and learning the Ravens’ terminology and is happy to have a great role model in Terrell Suggs.
When asked about an incident with a teammate that led him to miss time with a broken orbital bone, Tyus said every team had asked him about the incident, but he just had to “man up and tell the truth.”
Tim Williams was up next and had a slightly different take on his roommate, who he said talked in his sleep. He did a brief reenactment, which got the press laughing. Williams was asked about the multiple Alabama connections and said he had looked up to C.J. Mosley, whose work ethic he described as “off the charts.”
Nico Siragusa is comfortable at the microphone and a comical character much in the mold of the original Goose. He said he feels sorry for Tony, because everyone has been calling him “Tony Siragusa’s son” for the last couple of years and he wondered how Tony explained that to his wife. He’s clearly proud of his success as a road grading guard, but said he’s happy to play wherever the Ravens put him.
Siragusa is clearly a player that will keep a locker room loose.
Chris Wormley was last to speak. He is cerebral and comfortable at the microphone. He explained similarities between the Michigan defense and that here with the Ravens including the coaching overlap. Greg Mattison was the DC at the start of Wormley’s college career and continued on in other defensive coaching roles.
Chris responded as well as he could saying he loves the game of football. He mentioned discussions with former teammate Willie Henry, who called the Ravens Michigan 2.0 in terms of the goals (run to the ball, stop the run, get after the passer). He has a measured response to snap expectations, and said he is looking for every snap he can get as a rookie, but acknowledged that the Ravens DL rotation would help with 4th quarter stamina.
One reporter asked Chris if he had considered coaching, which is amusing considering this was his first NFL practice. However, after hearing him speak, it’s not a stretch.
