Bills Look to Get to 2-0 Against the Giants: Three Keys to Victory

Whenever you mention the name of the New York Giants, it will always draw up a nightmarish type feeling if you are a fan of the Buffalo Bills.

No one will ever forget the crushing missed field goal by Bills legendary kicker Scott Norwood that could have won the Bills a Super Bowl in 1991.

Instead, it started a trend that if you do any sports betting in california online you could have never seen coming. Four straight Super Bowl losses for the Bills and their loyal fan base.

Fast forward close to 30 years later, and today it’s a week two game for the Bills as they look to get their second win of the season, and if they do it will come at MetLife Stadium against the Giants.

New York isn’t a very good team, and many don’t see them winning more than 5-6 games, if that.

While they are still dangerous, the Bills seem to have the advantage in this one, and here’s three keys for them to get a week two victory.

1. Get Running

The Bills are sticking with Frank Gore as the starting running back, and he will have to have a much better game than a week ago, as he looked every bit his age in having struggles against the Jets.

It was rookie Devin Singletary that really got the ground game going, and it may take that again today for the Bills to have a spark in the ground game.

Look for the leash to be short on Gore if he has another rough game, and for Singletary to start getting more and more valuable carries.

2. Get to Manning

Eli Manning can still get the ball downfield if given the time, and today if the Bills are going to get out of New Jersey with a win they have to pressure Manning and force mistakes.

The Cowboys showed last week that when you get pressure up the middle against Manning, he will eventually either throw picks, or go down in a heap.

Look for the Bills front line to get pressure and have a good game.

3. Road Warriors

The Bills showed last week in the very same stadium they can win a game after having a double-digit deficit, and this week it would behoove them not to have to pull off the same comeback.

New York will want to set the tempo early, but the Bills have to define the game and be physical and not allow New York to get off to a quick start.

Look for the Bills to try and get off to a faster start than a week ago.
