Three Jets Players the Browns Need to Keep an Eye on in Monday’s Game

The Browns will look to get back to .500 on Monday night as they travel to the Meadowlands to take on the 0-1 New York Jets.

Last week the Browns, who were favored by bet-california.com to beat the Titans at home were stunned and embarrassed losing by 30 by a final of 43-13.

The Jets will enter the game banged up and minus their starting quarterback in Sam Darnold, but the Browns cannot afford to take New York lightly after the way they played in the opener.

Here’s a couple players that the Browns will have to watch for on Monday for the Jets as they enter the National television stage for the first time this season.

1. Le’Veon Bell – Running Back

The biggest offseason pickup for the Jets is a player the Browns know all too well in former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell.

Bell is still a dynamic back, and last week against the Bills he showed again he’s got a lot of gas in the tank, rushing for 60 yards, and catching six passes for 36 yards.

He’s a player the Browns are going to have to be very careful with each time he touches the ball.

2. Jamison Crowder – Wide Receiver

The Jets are going to undoubtedly struggle with the fact they are missing Sam Darnold, but if there’s a wide receiver who might be able to get downfield and give them a shot it’s one-time Washington Redskins pass catcher Jamison Crowder.

Against Buffalo in week one Crowder had the best day of any Jets receiver, going for 99 yards on 14 a crazy catches, and they threw the ball to him a whopping 17 times.

He can get open, and while the Browns might not be too worried about the play of Jets backup quarterback Trevor Siemian, they can’t fall asleep on Crowder who is the best catcher on the Jets roster right now.

3. Neville Hewitt – Linebacker

With linebacker C.J. Mosley out of the game with a groin injury, the Jets will look to fifth-year linebacker Neville Hewitt from Marshall to make some plays on the defensive side of the ball.

Hewitt last week stepped up and was the second-best linebacker on the field next to Mosley, being credited with a total of eight tackles as well as an interception.

The Jets are going to enter the game banged up on both sides of the ball, but again the Browns can’t fall asleep on Hewitt and what he’s able to do on defense.
