Lakers Superstar LeBron James Named the AP Top Male Athlete of Decade

LeBron James lived up to his promise of breaking one of the longest streaks in sports back in the 2016 season, as he was the driving force in bringing a championship to the city of Cleveland for the first time since 1964.

He left two years later, jetting for Los Angeles so he not only could continue his NBA career, but also to continue his life off the court, with chances in the Hollywood scene to become an even bigger star than he already is.

For his efforts on the court, James won a huge honor on Sunday, as he was bestowed as the “AP top male athlete of decade.”

James is celebrating his 35th birthday today as the Lakers have an off day before they look for their 27th win of the year on New Year’s Day night against the Suns in Phoenix.

How good is James this season? He is on pace to lead the league in assists for the first time while remaining among the NBA’s scoring leaders.

Not bad for a guy who already has three titles and is playing in his 17th season in the NBA. It seems like he gets better every yer, and that’s scary to anyone that is on an opposing team.
