This “pre” rookie card of Babe Ruth captures him in minor league baseball as a member of the Baltimore Orioles. Ruth played less than a year of the Orioles, as financial constraints forced them to sell Ruth’s contract to the Boston Red Sox. Jackson is depicted as a member of the Cleveland Naps’ minor league team, the New Orleans Pelicans, where he dominated the minor league game. This error was quickly caught after production and sale of these cards halted, leading to them being so rare today.
