Anger.

That’s the only way to describe it.

Anger at the ineptitude (or worse) of referee Pascal Gauzere.

Anger at the rank indiscipline of England players and their horrific propensity for conceding penalties.

Anger that when England did manage to retain possession and string a few phases together they looked a more than decent team, which begs the question as to what the ##### they’ve been doing for the last 12 months.

And anger that a bang-average Wales team didn’t actually have to play very well at all to win (again), and could conceivably win this championship.

Meanwhile in Rome, another identikit defeat for the Italians against an Irish team that barely reached third gear and yet still were able to rack up the tries.

And of course no rugby today thanks to the French squad’s Covid19 outbreak.
