Colts Look to Lay the Smack Down in Three Huge Games in 2021 that Could Define Their Season

The 2020 Indy Colts fought and scratched with Philip Rivers at quarterback to a playoff spot before they lost a tough effort against the Buffalo Bills who eventually made it to the AFC Title game.

Now with Rivers retired, the team made a deal for former Eagles first-round pick Carson Wentz, who they hope will step in and be a rock at the QB spot for years to come.

While there’s a number of great matchups on the Colts slate, including divisional games vs the Texans, Titans and Jags, the team also has a number of great games, home and away to look forward to.

Here are the 3 matchups that I’m most looking forward to:

9/12 vs Seattle – Nothing like opening the year at home against possible MVP Russell Wilson and the Seahawks, who are a contender to win the NFC in 2021. The Hawks are always one of the most solid teams in the league, and it’ll be up to the Colts to lay it down and earn a tough home win.

10/11 at Baltimore – The Ravens are one of the best in the league, and they will be doubly tough to beat at home on a Monday. It might be a night to turn it over to Wentz and the offense, which will keep Lamar Jackson and his MVP talents off the field. We will see if it’s enough to pull out a victory.

11/28 vs Tampa Bay – The Super Bowl champs are coming to town for turkey and a weekend of football at Lucas Oil Stadium. Can the Colts get to Tom Brady? Can the Colts O-line stop the Bucs D-line enough to keep Wentz upright? There’s a lot to look forward to when you look at this affair.
