Quins - Premier 15s champs 2021

Congrats to Harlequins’ women who fought off a late Saracens comeback at the weekend to win 25-17 and secure their first Premier 15s title.

Quins had lost the last two Premier 15s finals to Sarries, so their victory this time around must have been all the more sweet.

The two teams showcased women’s club rugby at its best on Sunday and, quite encouragingly, both semi finals – where Wasps put up a decent showing against Quins while Loughborough ran Sarries close – had also been also keenly contested, providing hope that it is not always going to be a foregone conclusion that Sarries and Quins will contest the final.

Encouraging signs then that standards in general are on the rise – which will certainly be key if the Premier 15s is going to thrive.

In the meantime, chapeau to Quins.
