Hollywood a Must-Start Every Week Now

Another week of football, another anxiety driven, heart attack-inducing Ravens win. What else is new? Well, that actually isn’t a rhetorical question. Last week, we had our worst week of fantasy predictions of the season and one of the worst ever, as we only hit on about half of our picks. That’s the name of the game though. You can’t have an awesome fantasy week, every single week of the NFL season. Good news is it’s a fresh week of football and we have a great track record of absolutely smashing our picks, and that is exactly what I intend to do (and will do) this week. The bounce back is always greater than the set back!

Tonight, we have yet another prime-time game, against the Miami Dolphins. Let’s all raise a beer in hopes the Ravens can leave Miami with a dominant, and much less nerve wracking win!

Ravens/Dolphins Fantasy Outlook

Start Em’

Hollywood Brown

Hollywood has been in the start category very often. I apologize if that gets boring, but I am not going to lead you astray just to get a new name here. Hollywood has been targeted 26 times in the last two weeks. Some analysts feared that the addition of Rashod Bateman would effect Hollywood’s target share, but that can be put to rest.

The Dolphins rank 24th in pass defense and allow the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing WR’s. Let’s also not forget what happened in 2019 when these two teams duked it out. Hollywood brutally and relentlessly picked apart and embarrassed Miami in his rookie debut, recording four catches for 147 yards and two TD’s. Is Hollywood going to remind the Dolphins who their daddy is? I’d bet on it. I’m not joking, I literally put money on it.

Mike Gesicki

Even with Tua sidelined, Gesicki still recorded eight targets and remained a focal point of the offense with back-up QB Jacoby Brissett under center. Nothing has changed since last week, in the sense that the Ravens are still horrific against tight ends. The Ravens allow the 2nd most fantasy points to opposing TEs. If Vegas is right, the Dolphins, who are 8.5-point underdogs, the game script combined with the juicy matchup could create the perfect storm for Gesicki domination.

Don’t forget, the Dolphins are still down a pass catcher with Devante Parker sidelined for likely the next two weeks at least.

Sit Em’

Sammy Watkins

Watkins is fresh off an injury that has kept him sidelined since Week 6. Not only will Sammy likely be eased into action, but Bateman’s performance has been so spectacular, I think he has done enough to become the #2 option in this evolving Ravens pass attack. There is also the chance of re-injury. Watkins hasn’t looked good all season and that won’t change this week.

Jacoby Brissett

Don’t let the plus matchup fool you, Brissett has only surpassed 20 fantasy points once this season as the starter. Simply, he just isn’t that good. That’s all I’ve got for you. Don’t get too cute by starting him.

Streamin’ around the league

Quarterback

Trevor Lawrence

If you are really in a pinch, consider this prolific rookie. He may not have lived up to expectations thus far, but he is entering a matchup against the Colts this week who rank 30th in pass defense and 2nd in rush defense. In a game script where the Jags are 10.5 point underdogs, Lawrence should be looking downfield often. With the Colts being so effective against the run, and so in-effective against the pass, plus the matchup, Lawrence has a real shot this week at being fantasy relevant.

Running Back

Devin Singletary

With Zack Moss possibly being sidelined, and most likely having his snap count managed if he does suit up, Singletary is starting to look really enticing this week. The Bills are 12 point favorites against a Jets team that ranks dead last against fantasy RB’s. If the Bills can get their act together, this game should be a bloodbath and Singletary should play a large role. Between the matchup and all of the garbage time, plus the injury to Moss, Singletary could have his best game of the 2021 season.

Wide Receiver

A.J. Green

With De’Andre Hopkins likely being sidelined, washed up superstar A.J. Green becomes very interesting. Green presumably will be the #1 target and 50/50 ball threat with Hopkins out. The way I see it, this works in Greens favor regardless of if Murray is under center or not. If Murray is under center, he has a fantastic QB looking his way often. If Murray sits, Green has Colt McCoy relying on him to get up and make the big plays on Colt’s often inaccurate passes. The matchup isn’t great, but there is no way that Green isn’t heavily involved this week.

Tight End

Dan Arnold

Since Week 5, Arnold has received no less than five targets per game and has played an integral part in this Jags offense. Just like his QB, Arnold should have a perfect game script and has an ideal matchup against the 30th ranked Colts pass defense that has let up the 5th most fantasy points to opposing TE’s.

Fire & Ice

Fire Squad

QB: Dak Prescott

RB: Austin Ekeler

WR: Michael Pittman

TE: Kyle Pitts

Ice Squad

RB: D’Andre Swift

WR: Jarvis Landry

TE: Hunter Henry
