I think you have to like this schedule. It’s pretty fair and balanced. After the Thursday game vs Tampa, they play one game in 23 days and that takes you into late November, which means you should enter the stretch run as healthy and fresh as you possibly can be at that point in the season.
Steelers not until December is odd and four of your last five games (including three road games) are division games. On the other hand, this team should get better as the season goes as players get healthy and experience, so that may not be a bad thing.
The early stretch has some tough games but they should start 5-2 at worst. Overall, not a tough schedule and not a ton of traveling. I think you have to be happy about it as a Ravens fan.

Given the division that the Ravens reside in, it was always likely that the end of the season would be no cake walk. All in all though, 2022 brings a very manageable schedule for the purple birds. October will be the toughest part of the schedule, with games against Buffalo, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Tampa Bay sandwiched around a potential trap game in East Rutherford. Luckily, even in a worst-case scenario, an easier November slate (on paper) should provide plenty of opportunity to make up any potential lost ground. It’s the chalk prediction, but I see 12 wins on this schedule and a high seed in the playoffs come January.
Darin McCann
It’s not a bad layout at all, as far as what we can tell right now. If they can get through that AFC East gauntlet at the start at 3-1, they could really be set up well for the season. Four of the last five games against divisional foes should make for an exciting stretch run, and the hope is that the Ravens newcomers, in terms of players and a new defensive coordinator, have hit their stride by that final turn. There’s nothing wrong with a November bye, and they only go back to back on the road once. This is a good schedule for the Ravens, and can’t find too much to complain about here.
Kevin McNelis
I was taking the old “hope for the best, prepare for the worst” route, and it worked out, because this schedule is way better than what I was expecting. The four straight AFC East opponents is sort of an odd wrinkle, but the Bills at home in Week 4 are obviously the toughest test. My two major points of concern are the back to back road games versus the Bucs and Saints, and a few challenges in the last six weeks capped off by the Bengals in their place.
Here’s hoping we can capitalize on a manageable start to the schedule and maintain our health better down the stretch this year.
Derek Arnold
My initial thoughts are… that you gotta like the Week 10 bye, and that it’s odd (in a good way) to alternate home/away for the first four weeks. I am surprised that Ravens-Bills game in Week 4 isn’t a prime time affair, but I’m old so I’m not complaining about there only being three such contests on the schedule initially. I wouldn’t have expected Ravens @ Saints to merit a Monday Night showcase, but it’ll be nice to have 10 days to prepare (short week for the Bucs on the road is rough).
Now for old man yells at cloud:
I also notice that the Ravens don’t see Cleveland until Week 7, so I am now certain DeShaun Watson’s suspension will be six games (Cleveland’s BYE is Week 11). I’m also getting sick of this trend of not seeing division opponents until after Halloween or later, then having the games bunched up. Last year it was Cleveland on 11/28 and 12/12, and Pittsburgh 12/5 and 1/9. This year it’s no Steelers until Week 14, then again in Week 17.
