Caitlin Clark’s behavior towards Fever teammate Kelsey Mitchell turns heads
Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell led the way for the Indiana Fever on Saturday. The Fever scored their second straight win after defeating the New York Liberty at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in a 108-88 blowout.
Mitchell top-scored for Indiana with 33 points on 10-of-14 shooting. The four-time All-Star also added four three-pointers, one assist and a steal in 30 minutes of play. Clark, on the other hand, produced 17 points on 5-of-14 from the floor. Despite her off-night from the field, the former WNBA Rookie of the Year still registered two rebounds, seven assists and two triples in 26 minutes of action.
The Fever improved to 16-10 after Saturday’s win. They are currently sixth in the standings with one game left to play before the All-Star break.

One of the highlights of Mitchell’s big-scoring night was her four-point play in the fourth quarter. The 5-foot-8 guard drained a deep step-back three-pointer while being fouled by Liberty star Breanna Stewart.
Mitchell fell to the floor after the shot. However, this did not prevent the Fever from celebrating the incredible play, with Clark leading the festivities.

Clark’s hyped behavior toward Mitchell quickly drew the attention of fans on social media.

While Clark has cemented her status as Indiana’s cornerstone superstar, Mitchell has firmly established herself as the team’s primary weapon on offense. The 30-year-old veteran is currently leading the team in scoring with a career-high 23.3 points per game.
The Fever will need Clark and Mitchell to be at their best for their next game. They will close out the first half of the season with a home matchup against the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday.
