OTL: Former Player Says “Family” Atmosphere Will Remain Under Minter
As we enter July, we’ve officially reached the lowest point of the offseason – the period where fans start coming up with the world’s most ridiculous hypotheticals:
WHO WOULD YOU WANT AS YOUR QB FOR THE NEXT DECADE…?

Argue all you want about the trajectory of Dart’s career and his ability to play deeper into that decade, Jackson’s proven ability to win games makes him the obvious choice. Think about it simply – who’s more likely to win a Super Bowl? Haters will say it’s Dart, but if we’re being real, it’s Jackson.
Speaking of hypotheticals, Garnet West posted a fun thought experiment on Tuesday:
#RavensFlock it’s been boring this offseason so let’s play a game…
“ top 5 Elite IF’s”
5) If we would’ve showed up offensively versus the Colts in 2006.
(Indianapolis Colts 15, Baltimore Ravens 6. All field goals
)
4) If Lee Evans would’ve put two hands on the ball right…
— GARNET WEST (@Garnet478) June 30, 2026
While I disagree on the order, Garnet and I are on the same page with all but one. The Terrell Owens saga is crazy, but isn’t quite as big a hypothetical as people think. Instead, what about the ‘what if?’ Jamison Hensley wrote about way back in 2017?
It’s certainly a crazy one, but there’s real legs behind it. Had Baltimore drafted Tom Brady, who knows where this franchise would sit – both in the history books and in today’s landscape.
Still, I’m happy having HC Jesse Minter and QB Lamar Jackson at the helm. The latter was in the lab once again, posting some highlights on Tuesday:

As for the former, the Ravens reposted some insights into Minter’s interview process:

Although we’ve seen the clips before, it’s a reminder of the approach Minter is taking to rebuilding the franchise in his image. Importantly, the franchise will be family oriented, as Chargers LB Marlowe Wax Jr. noted:
Chargers LB @MarloweWax (MSJ) on his former DC, now Ravens HC Jesse Minter: “He’s going to be everything that the city is looking for. A guru… Can also be a coach that offensive players can come to. Easy to talk to. It’s going to be a family-oriented organization.” #RavensFlock
— Glenn Clark (@GlennClarkRadio) June 30, 2026
With that in mind, the vibes may well be higher this season. But the defensive play should be, too. Minter’s schematic ability should make the most of weapons like S Kyle Hamilton, while unlocking others, like his back-end counterpart:

The offensive side is where more questions lie, at least in terms of whether Baltimore can win the whole thing. New OC Declan Doyle is exciting but unproven, which begs the following question:
What are your expectations for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens offense in Year 1 under Declan Doyle? pic.twitter.com/2MVzUDiZ5w

For me, the expectation is to make this list by year-end:

Getting there will require better O-Line play, however. Luckily, we saw a key cog in Baltimore’s plans up-front in the gym on Tuesday, as Roger Rosengarten looks to improve on a disappointing 2025 campaign:
If you think I’m going to overreact to a hype package of Roger Rosengarten hitting the gym and doing some agility drills…..
YOU’RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!!
With a solid RG next to him who won’t be picking ass for 99% of the season, Roger will be back! pic.twitter.com/S35rc16y8P

Next to 1st-Round Pick Vega Ioane, Rosengarten will look to open up holes for RB Derrick Henry. While I spoke about the questions surrounding the Ravens RB room last week, there was more chatter about them Tuesday:
ranking the NFL’s best running back rooms:
1. Atlanta Falcons
2. Detroit Lions
3. Buffalo Bills
4. Indianapolis Colts
5. Philadelphia Eagles
6. Los Angeles Rams
7. San Francisco 49ers
8. Miami Dolphins
9. Arizona Cardinals
10. Baltimore Ravens
11. New England Patriots
12. Kansas…— Warren Sharp (@SharpFootball) June 30, 2026
Don’t get me wrong, Derrick Henry is still a beast:
Yards per carry leaders in 2025 (min. 100 attempts):
1. De’Von Achane
2. James Cook
3. Derrick Henry
4. Bijan Robinson
5. Blake Corum pic.twitter.com/0dwqQxRMLj— Yahoo Fantasy Sports (@YahooFantasy) June 30, 2026
At the same time, I see the argument for Baltimore placing 10th here. If Doyle’s offense is going to help Jackson as much as fans think, he’ll need steady production from whoever ends up spelling Henry.
Let us know who you think that’ll be in the comments!
