WNBA: Sky guard Jacy Sheldon turns heads at Sox game
Jacy Sheldon is playing her first season with the Chicago Sky after being traded from the Washington Mystics. She is currently averaging 6.6 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
The fifth overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft spent the majority of the 2025 season with the Connecticut Sun before a mid-season trade to the Washington Mystics.
Sheldon has been a solid rotation piece for the Sky. However, they are currently 13th in the WNBA standings. Chicago is 9-18 this season.
The 2021 WNBA Champions last made the playoffs in 2023. Since then, they have yet to crack more than 13 wins in a season.

On Tuesday, Sheldon as tasked with throwing the first pitch of the Chicago White Sox’s game against the New York Yankees.
The White Sox shared the moment on their Instagram page.

,” the team said in the caption.

The 5-foot-10 guard represented the Sky at the Rate Field, home of the White Sox. Her appearance garnered multiple reactions from Chicago fans.

“Jacy!” a user mentioned.

The White Sox dropped to 55-51 on the season after suffering a 2-3 home loss to the Yankees on Tuesday. They are now 0-2 in the series with the third of four games scheduled for Wednesday.
After hosting the 2026 WNBA All-Star Weekend, the Sky are preparing for the next match. Chicago looks to snap their two-game losing streak as it will host the Connecticut Sun on July 30.
Sheldon has only scored a total two points on 2-of-8 shooting in their last two games. She’ll be looking to bounce back and help the Sky get their 10th win of the year.
