Fever announce Caitlin Clark news after injury vs. Wings
The Indiana Fever listed Caitlin Clark as probable on the injury report in their upcoming game against the Atlanta Dream.
Clark had an injury scare during their game against the Dallas Wings on Friday after she stepped on Alysha Clark’s foot in the second quarter. She headed back to the locker room, but returned in the second half to finish the game and lead the Fever to a 98-87 victory.
The three-time WNBA All-Star produced a double-double of 29 points and 10 assists to secure their 22nd victory of the season.
Next up for Indiana is their game against the Dream on Sunday, and the team provided a crucial update about her status for that game, as reported by Indiana beat reporter Scott Agness.
“Positive sign for Caitlin Clark that her left ankle is not mentioned on the injury report — and that’s after having a terrific 2nd half,” Agness posted. “But it’s the 26th time she’s probable – back.”
As Agness reported, the biggest takeaway is that Clark’s ankle injury against the Wings does not appear to be a concern. The former Iowa Hawkeyes standout avoided a significant injury that may have cost her time on the sidelines.
Additionally, Agness said that Aliyah Boston is also probable with back issues.
“Boston is also probable,” Agness added. “Fever begin a stretch with five games in eight days Sunday in Atlanta.”

Caitlin Clark inches closer to another WNBA record
Clark’s incredible performance against the Wings was her second consecutive and 30th career double-double. She’s now two double-doubles away from surpassing Courtney Williams for the second-most by a guard in WNBA history.
The 6-foot star recently surpassed Sue Bird in that category when they played the New York Liberty on Tuesday.
Clark is well on her way to becoming the all-time leader in this category. Courtney Vandersloot holds the current record with 61 double-doubles, but she reached that feat in 334 career games. Clark, on the other hand, is up to 30 double-doubles in just 83 games.
Clark and Co. will look to keep their momentum going on their upcoming five-game road trip and finish the regular season on a high note. They are currently 22-12 with 10 games remaining.
