QB Will Levis, Former Second-Round Pick, Signs With Jets
Quarterback Will Levis is a New York Jet. The signal caller who some had suggested Darren Mougey should sign several weeks ago, is joining Gang Green’s practice squad.
Former Titans QB Will Levis is signing with the Jets practice squad, sources tell @ringer @netflixsports.

The former second-round pick has started 21 career games, posting an underwhelming record of 5-16. In that time he has thrown 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions while completing 61% of his passes.
The timing is a bit odd and makes you wonder if there’s a reason why the Jets felt they needed another quarterback in the building after going with Smith and Klubnik for the season’s first two games. Geno Smith has taken every snap through the season’s first two games and played efficient football.
Are the Jets uncomfortable with Klubnik at QB2, or might there be something going on with Smith, who on Sunday, appeared to slide very prematurely every time he was flushed from the pocket and forced to take off. Either way, it’s a young arm with upside and prototypical size at 6′ 4”229 which will likely appeal to offensive coordinator Frank Reich.
