Chicago Cubs star Pete Crow-Armstrong is having an historic year here in 2026, well on his way to winning the NL MVP award. The center fielder is not only one of the best defensive players in the game, but he’s figured it out at the plate as well.

As his MVP season has gone one, the market for his cards has also taken off.

Typically, there was other cards that would be the big ones like the Bowman Chrome Superfractor. But the debut patch cards are the ones you want. The best of the best.”

With the card being a 1/1 and for a player of PCA’s caliber, this card is HUGE among collectors. Add in the fact that Crow-Armstrong just became the seventh player to achieve a 40/40 season, and the value has shot up even more.

“The timing is excellent, right?,” Amerman said. “He showed flashes of greatness last year in the first half as well. He’s only 24. The Paul Skenes debut card sold for $1.1 million plus and he’s a pitcher.  I know he has a lot of hype, but historically the batters are the guys that are a little more collected. This card has to be the biggest MLB Debut patch card produced and ever to hit the auction block yet.”

Goldin’s standalone auction is open through Tuesday, September 29, with extended bidding beginning at 10 PM ET. Current bids already exceed $200K and continue to draw interest; we are all excited to see how high it goes.
