Sophie Cunningham announces personal news outside Fever
Indiana Fever Sophie Cunningham has a lot of endeavors outside the WNBA. Podcasts, endorsements and attending different events, among others, keep her busy off the court. She announced a personal move on Friday.
Cunningham and Indiana defeated the Toronto Tempo on the same day. The win allowed them to remain in fifth place in the standings with a 27-14 record. She recorded five points, four rebounds and a +20 in the 103-85 win. It was the team’s third consecutive win and eighth in its last 10 games.
Kelsey Mitchell led the way with a game-high 33 points on 12-of-17 shooting, including 7-of-11 from beyond the arc. Caitlin Clark backed her with 28 points, six rebounds and 14 assists.
Indiana Fever: Sophie Cunningham discusses new investment
The veteran guard announced that she signed a deal with Groov. It’s a footwear personalization company, scanning a foot using an iPhone. Cunningham’s deal includes an equity stake, adding to her growing list of investments and endeavors outside of being a professional basketball player.
She spoke with Sports Illustrated and discussed what made her invest with the company. Cunningham highlighted that she was impressed when she tried a Groov product.

Cunningham also shared the connection Groov has with her family’s background, thriving in different industries.
“My family, they farm; they do construction; my sister does medical sales,” Cunningham said. “There are just so many different types of industries. The Fever have three games remaining on their schedule. Cunningham and Co. will return to action on Sunday against the Washington Mystics at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. They have clinched a playoff berth but continue to battle for a potential top-three seed.
