Sophie Cunningham is making the most of the WNBA’s FIBA World Cup break by spending time with family. The Indiana Fever guard posted personal update on her Instagram story on Tuesday, showing her at a grocery with her father.

Cunningham and the Fever are 26-14 for the season and tied for fourth in the standings. They are competing for a top-three seed with the Las Vegas Aces, who currently sit at third place, and the Atlanta Dream. She is averaging 8.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists through 39 games.

Indiana has four games remaining on its schedule and will return to action on Sept. 18. The team will visit the Toronto Tempo at Coca-Cola Coliseum before a pair of home fixtures against the Washington Mystics and Minnesota Lynx. Cunningham and Co. are on a two-game winning streak.

Indiana Fever: Sophie Cunningham goes shopping with her father

Cunningham joined her father for some shopping and bought him a new nose trimmer. She wore a laid-back outfit consisting of a light yellow yellow T-shirt with bright orange stripes on the sleeves and tied her hair in a bun.

“You ask what I do in my downtime while FIBA is going on? Finding this man a new nose trimmer that also trims his ear hair and eyebrows,” Cunningham said. “And I’m not the only one that needs it. The triple threat.”

Cunningham began the season with the starting unit but was moved to the bench to give the reserves more offensive firepower. While her averages are not eye-popping, she provides the team with a lot of energy and hustle, which do not reflect on the stat sheets. The 30-year-old is one of the favorites for the Sixth Player of the Year award.

The Fever will continue to rely on her contributions as they have their sights set on winning the title this year. Cunningham missed last season’s playoffs due to a torn right ACL but has since fully recovered.
