Angel Reese has 4 words after career move
Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream saw their season end on Saturday. They may have lost in the WNBA Finals, but it was still a historic run, especially for the star forward. She announced a career move on Tuesday on social media, along with a four-word message.
Reese broke several league records, including most rebounds in a game and a season. She also set new a mark for most double-doubles in a single campaign. The former LSU star had an up-and-down finals, which ended after the 68-63 Game 7 defeat to the Golden State Valkyries.
She averaged a career-high 16.4 points, along with 12.1 rebounds 2.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game this year. Reese earned her third straight All-Star selection and first Defensive Player of the Year award.
Fever star Angel Reese will be honored by LSU
Reese will return to LSU on Thursday during the Tigers’ matchup with Texas Southern at PMAC. The program announced on Instagram that they will honor her at halftime.
“The Bayou Barbie is back this Thursday. Pack The PMAC,” LSU Women’s Basketball wrote.

The 24-year-old reposted it on her Instagram story and included her message.
“BAYOU BARBIE IS BACK! 
,” Reese added.
She started her collegiate career with the Maryland Terrapins from 2020 to 2022 before entering the transfer portal. Reese decided to take her talents to LSU and starred for the program from 2022 to 2024. She led the Tigers to win the national championship in 2023 and earned the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player award in the same year.
Meanwhile, the Dream face a big offseason. They will likely add some pieces to their roster to help them get over the hump in 2027. However, Reese will continue to be one of their cornerstones for years to come. She will enter next season hungrier for more success, especially after falling short in the finals.
