Photo Captures Beam of Light in New Port Richey, Florida

I received an email and photo from a lady in New Port Richey, Florida.  After receiving the email, I called her to discuss the photo.

On the Friday after Thanksgiving 2012 the witness was lounging alone by a fire in her back yard, when she decided to take some photos with her Samsung Gravity II Smart Phone.  She took approximately 20 photos from different angles.  The anomaly did not show up in any other photos.

“I caught this picture the Friday after Thanksgiving 2012 New Port Richey, FL.  This was taken in my back yard.  I took several photos to attempt to reproduce the same effect, but was unable to.”

It appears that the source of the beam of light is well above the ground but the photographer did not see, hear, or sense anything above her.  The beam does not flare, or taper; it has straight, clean edges and does appear to reach the ground.  It seems to be beyond the photographer’s foot, well past the campfire.

The photographer also said that she submitted this photo to a paranormal (spirit-related) website but never received a response.  In my opinion, this anomaly does not appear to be spirit related, however, I feel it is more likely to be UFO related.
