The Sweetest Goodbye

Saying goodbye isn’t always an easy thing. At least not when there is some form of feelings involved. While many people bear the burden of goodbye on their shoulders or in the pit of their stomachs, there is life after goodbye. Some may even say there is even some “good” in goodbye. Beyonce even made a song about how rewarding goodbye can be. But Mark Herman just may have us all beat for the sweetest goodbye ever told. He decided to communicate his goodbye to his employer in the form of a cake.

Mark, who was the director at KOLD-TV in Tucson, AZ, shared a picture on social media of his goodbye cake. He was employed with KOLD-TV for 4 years. His “resignation letter” was actually a handwritten note (with icing), on top of a white cake with strawberry filling. His boss surprisingly took it well. She took it over to the staff’s 2:00 pm meeting that day and shared it with the rest of the team.
