David Heavener Investigates Episode 1 Is this Bible Leaking Oil from above - or below?

Hey Everybody,  I’m David Heavener.  Welcome to the show where we seek out and investigate miracles in these last days:  What they mean for the body of Christ, for you, and for me.  Are they from God or Satan?

Not too long ago I released a video called “A Bible That Leaks Oil By the Gallons: Proof of End Time Miracles?”  To date, this video has had over two million views.  To some it is proof that God is alive and doing miracles. To some it is questionable.  And to others it’s even blasphemy.  But my prayer is that the Holy Spirit will guide us into a better understanding of miracles, and this Bible that leaks oil.  Let’s take a look at the first part of this video.

We’re in Dalton, a little town in north Georgia; I’m here because I heard of an amazing event – a Bible that leaks oil.  In other words, it’s a guy’s Bible, and about a year and a half ago, he woke up and saw it pouring oil.  This Bible has been giving out gallons and gallons of oil for the last year and a half.

David: “OK, so this Bible leaks oil.  What do you do with the oil? When the oil comes out, what is it used for?”

Johnny: “It fills up.  Jerry takes it out, puts it in the gallon jugs, during the night.  On Monday we come in, and we put it in small vials, and we take the vials to the churches with us.  And we give them out to the people there.”

David: “OK, that’s great, but what does the oil do?  People get the vial of oil and what do they do with it?  What good is it?  What is the purpose of it?”

Man: “Well, it’s just like James, the fifth chapter where it says, “Those that are sick will call for the elders of the church.  They’ll bring the oil. They pray for the sick, will heal the sick.  And we just use it for anointing oil.”

David: We’re here at Evangel World Prayer Center, one of the largest churches in Louisville, Kentucky, and we’re talking with some of the Christians here to get their take on the oil.

David: “Is this a sign that we are in the last days?”

Evangel member:“ I believe it is a sign that God is working with signs and miracles, because as we follow the Word, we know things are happening that never happened before.  That is a sign of the end times.”

David: The question is, does the oil come from the Bible?  And what kind of oil is it?  Cooking oil?  Motor oil? And most important, what is this oil not?

Albert McDaniel, Engineer: “This is the oil?”

David: “Yeah.”

Albert: (tasting the oil) “Not knowing the source, I would say this is a highly refined oil.  It doesn’t appear to have any impurities in it.  This needs to be analyzed.”

Johnny: “About a year ago, a friend of mine had it analyzed.  He’s a chemist, a Chemical Engineer for 30 years.  He told us, “I didn’t do this to disprove it, but because of the curiosity of the Chemist in me.  So, the analysis came in, and it was analyzed two times since.  But each time the report has come back that it has some of the characteristics of mineral oil, because of the way it feels.”

David: “OK.”

Johnny: “But they said, “The chemical makeup, we don’t know what it is.”  They said, “The only thing we know is that it wasn’t manufactured by any man.””

David, “Wow!”

Johny:  “And they said, “The best explanation we can come up with is that it is unexplainable.””

Back to Albert McDaniel, Professional Engineer: “Probably the most likely use of mineral oil is the basis for lotions, hand creams, that type of product.  They would start with a base mineral oil like this, and create their own brand of products for hand creams, hand lotions, or body oil.”

David: “Oil is used in the Bible, correct?”

Messianic Rabbi Zev Porat:  “Absolutely, the Bible says before King David was King, he was anointed with oil, and the power of the Holy Spirit fell upon him.  In Hebrew, the modern day word for oil is shemen, but the Biblical word is mishchah , and the root word of mishchah is ‘oil messiah’.”

Young Lady:  I really want to get the oil, and I just want to feel the Spirit.  I’ve loved God, and I have lived a life for so long, that wasn’t of Him.  I’ve always had Him in my heart.  So now, especially now since we’re living in this time, it is time to get rid of everything that is not of us, that’s in our flesh, and just get overwhelmed with Him.”

David: “What would Jesus say about that oil?”

Lady at Evangel: “I think he would say that he loves the fact that it is drawing people to him.”

Back to Young Lady:  “ It’s jut confirmation that we are living in the End Times.” 

Man: “Well the Bible says “by His stripes we are healed”. It doesn’t say “by His miraculous oil coming out of the Bible we are healed.””

Second Man:  “There are always going to be doubters.  Unfortunately, those who have never experienced the love of God don’t understand what that experience is.”

Third Man:  “It’s the very presence of God.”

David:  “Jesus said that we must become as children to inherit the kingdom of God, which means we must believe like children.  But on the other hand, we’re to test the spirits.  So, it’s that balance.”

David: “You own the Bible, correct?”

Jerry: “Yes.”
