Turns Out I Managed Yule Well Enough...

Gifts and cards were done, if I could do them. The tree was finally trimmed with Amara and the household. Yule morning (Tuesday before Xmas), Cat and I awoke and exchanged a few gifts– nothing too crazy.

Yule. Done!

And…

I went back into a funk/escapist life for 2 weeks.

Sorry about that!

I’ve been doing some deep and serious thinking in between bouts of fiction-binging. Turns out my mind was engaged in some planning for the future and trying to figure out ways to make it happen with my limitations. The future is not looking bright. At best we have 2 and a half years of relative stability in which to prepare for much worse than what we’ve seen so far during the Trump and after-Trump 5 year slog through insanity we’ve been through already.

Granted, this is just one view– but I think it’s closer to where we’re going than the wishful, hopeful centrists and leftists are willing to believe.

In January, I’ll talk about where I think I’m going to go from here. And then… I’ll be back much more regularly. I didn’t know where to go with what I was feeling, but now I think I’ve reached the point I can accept this darker reality and start girding my loins, as it were! Things will be changing, because they have to… but if you want to follow along as my reader, I’ll make that possible as long as I can.
