"Keelee" Introduces Herself

I know my faerie stories are… really kind of nutty sounding. I get it. If you grimace when you read about these things from me, I won’t begrudge you. I’m the same way when other people tell their stories about such things, especially since most of them you can tell are wishful thinking and mistaken interpretations.

But then here I am, stuck scratching my head. I just wanted to NOT have poltergeist thwacking sounds and shadows around the house. I’ve had a tiny bit of experience with a hawthorn and strange things before, but nothing remotely like this!

When Reese had a “troupe” following her, I reserved judgment– but a part of me wondered if she had just lost it a little or something. Then I heard and saw “Mr. H” myself and that was that.

Except it wasn’t. More and more stuff keeps happening. Some of it a little unsettling (though not truly scary. Sorry, after aliens, few paranormal things really scare me anymore) but mostly rather interesting. Okay– I guess these Wee People are real, at least astrally most of the time. Sometimes they can manifest physically, but most often, they seem to dwell slightly “off” from our own reality.

And… things are progressing in that way it would seem…!

This morning, I woke up, went to the bathroom, and then returned to lay down again on my cot in Reese & Sleep’s townhouse apartment in Portland on the east side. It’s not a great neighborhood. My first night I heard a gunshot out on the street and was grateful we were at the far back of the apartment complex. I didn’t sleep well…

I got very relaxed, but didn’t really fall asleep again. Instead, I fell into a spontaneous trance. It’s been a while since I managed that, though in this case, perhaps it was a response to something? I saw someone holding a book up to me (in the vision, like a dream, except I was awake with my eyes closed, able to move and everything) who then opened it to a middle page. It looked like an adult coloring book, with lots of Celtic knotwork, flowers, and such. On the right page was an illustration of the person (or whatever) who looked in on me many months ago. The “Dutch looking” person who was staring at me who was maybe 4 feet tall and had curly dark blond short hair. HER. Anyway, I kept watching and I could see that under her drawing was a name, starting with a “C” and ending with a “C.” I looked at the other page on the left and it was showing lots of nature symbols and designs, and so I looked back at the right hand page again, and the same name was there!

Here’s the thing: with dreams, writing changes from one moment to the next. I can read in my dreams, but it’s often incomprehensible and if I try to re-read anything it turns to nonsense. This vision was like a silent movie dream played on my eyelids in the dark of the early morning room, but it stayed steady and didn’t change, and I make note of that here. It wasn’t a dream. Or, at least, it wasn’t like a normal type of dream.

I realized that this was one of the Fae people who are a part of Heron Hold. I don’t know why European Fae would be here except some of them must have followed the white people when they migrated. OR– it could be that they morph into appearing most like the humans around them? Except for this one detail– the Irish word that was her name. I looked it up. I don’t know Gaelic, so if this was my mind, there should be no way it would match up– right?!

Except it DID mean something. In OLD Irish Gaelic it means “Circle” and in modern Irish it mean “an owl.” At least that’s what several different translating programs said.

Because it is believed that knowing a Faerie’s “true name” gives you power over them, they don’t often reveal their real names to we mortals. Mr. H. is short for another name that is also a nickname, not a true name. For some reason, this entity gave me her real name… maybe. I asked if I could call her by a shortened version of her name, which was much easier for me to pronounce, “Kili” or “Keelee” and I got the impression she was okay with that, so– apparently I have a… fan? Friend…? Uh– faerie who wants to work with me, and um… okay I guess.

I’m doing all this research right now on all the old rules regarding such things and trying to figure this out a little. I feel a little out of my depth, but also a little excited by the immense distraction! Psychologically, I’m sure people could come up with a brutal analysis of my state right now, and okay, I understand that reflex. I don’t have the energy to lie about this shit, though. I’m more confused than anything!
