Like A Dam Bursting...

The end of the summer this year is proving to be especially revolutionary.

The idea of my mother “going down” to the point she needs a nursing home doesn’t seem so shocking, I suppose. Yet I’ve been waiting on this for almost 20 years… The idea of my mother agreeing she may indeed need assisted living, though– is incredibly shocking.

The idea of my aunt Dora actually speaking to me, let alone working with me regarding my mother and sister, is totally shocking. I’m cautiously pleased, but not yet feeling secure because my mother could still manage to fuck shit up between us. With my aunt’s support, things can happen very quickly: I can move my sister out, clean their hoarder condo, get it sold, help my sister buy and order her next house, and more!

Cat’s been complaining about her job non-stop for 5 years, but never really taken any steps to do anything about it… just whined for YEARS. Then, a co-worker shows her a job listing and suddenly she’s applying, being interviewed, and accepting a whole new job!  And it involved commuting again, so it won’t be quite so crowded here at Heron House weekdays.

And then the whole “Tribal” thing has been officially established after circling around the idea for years upon years. Now, everyone in the tribe has agreed to move up here and Rhonda is already actively looking to move up here with the money from selling their Portland house. Boom! So that’s happening. And her kids are like my sister, so that means I have extra support for the future there, even as I lend my own.

I’ve also finished my Initiate Program– the first year’s worth of stuff is DONE for my witchcraft thing. And my first outside student (my test case, if you will) is about to cross the finish line. Which means that I’ve actually launched my new spiritual/magickal path!

Everything is suddenly happening all at once, and they’re all overdue, even beyond the 2 year pandemic hold-up period. I’ve been frustrated by all the hold-ups over the last few years, and I’m glad to see things moving, but did it all have to happen in less than 3 months!?
