Kili (Keelee) Sings To Me!

Okay, we have the next chapter in faeries already! I was not prepared for what happened last night…

It was Sunday night, back with Reese & Sleep in their apartment, after everyone else had gone to bed. I couldn’t sleep because I was so disturbed by the issues with Amara and her jerk boyfriend. Finally, I had given up and put on headphones to listen to dance music, even though it was after midnight, because I had to discharge some of that nervous energy.

As I listened and bopped around sitting on my cot, I thought about how I used to “broadcast” music on headphones with the ghosts at the apartment building way back in the day. I talk to things on the astral plane by pushing out my thoughts in a way that is hard to describe, but I can also make what I listen to go “outwards” like that, too. I decided to do just that. Maybe The Troupe would enjoy it, maybe not, but I was curious to see if I’d get any response.

I did!

I started noticing the astral energy around me getting revved up, and then I saw short figures dancing– on tables, on the back of the sofa, on the kitchen counters. I couldn’t see them very well, to be sure, but amorphous forms that had clearer bits and pieces sometimes popped out… a hand here, a leg there. So… yeah, at least 5 or 6 members of The Troupe were joining me in a dance party. I suppose it could be considered an offering, but one of music rather than substance. This lasted for 2 hours as I discharged my energy and enjoyed feeling like I was a DJ to some very funny characters. (At one point, I swear I saw something jump from the dining table to the chandelier dining lamp and then hang upside-down to wriggle to the music!)

Another part of me was like: ”Jeez, I have quite the imagination! Maybe I’m making myself see this stuff. This cannot be really happening!“

But most of me didn’t give a damn and just enjoyed the experience. I didn’t know you could offer music to faeries like this– though they are known to love music, so it stands to reason, right?

Just after 2 am I was tired out and took my headphones off and turned off the music. Then I went to the bathroom, changed, and used the facilities. As I sat there, I noticed the automatic fan made a pleasant droning sound. Then, much more weirdly, I could hear a voice singing! It was a very sweet soprano or maybe contralto. Now, I’ve sometimes– when VERY tired– heard human voices seeming to talk in fan sounds before, and I was sure that was what I was hearing. It was an artifact of my brain, being tired, and the droning noise of the fan, that’s all. But I could never understand words or anything in such, just general tones maybe, like hearing neighbors talk through a wall, in past experiences of this nature.

Except… I realized I could understand some of the words. I listened and realized someone was singing the song over and over again. I could pick out the verses and a chorus. That was awfully sophisticated for a brain fart! And it was so very pretty! Goodness! It was sweet, and haunting, and sounded like something I’ve heard before– yet it was entirely new. Hard to explain…

… but it reminded me of the incident with the repeating 3 measure refrain from pan pipes 3 or 4 years ago. It had that same weird emotional effect.

So I finished up in the bathroom, but stayed in there just listening to the pretty song, marveling.

But it was 2:30 am by then and I was quite sleepy. So I turned off the fan and left the bathroom, expecting normal night silence to return…

.. except it didn’t. I could still hear the singing, and without the fan noise, it was actually clearer!

“Kili, is that you?” I asked aloud.

Then I made the decision to record the song as best I could. The pan pipes incident taught me a lesson: I would FORGET the song if I didn’t find a way to record it. So I pulled out my iPad, and started to sing the song as best I could, including the words I could clearly hear from the chorus… I even wrote down the words which I will share below. Then I recorded the silence, asking Kili, or whoever was singing, to sing into my device, oh pretty please! I wasn’t sure it would record, because I thought I was hearing on the astral level, not physical… but just in case…

I have played those recordings to several people, and it’s best to listen with headphones, and you can hear the high voice singing just as I recalled!! It was NOT my imagination!! I have proof! I really need a program or equipment to tone down the background noise and enhance the EVP (as it’s low enough of a range to be called that) and so if anyone knows a way to do that, let me know. Also, I would love to have a way to get my i-device to work with sound programs on my PC, because then I could play the recordings HERE. Again, any ideas (that I could afford?)

For the record, it wasn’t neighbors. For one thing, the apartments on BOTH sides of Reese and Sleep were empty, due to the rent going up and a bunch of people not being able to afford the 30% hike. For another, who sings or plays the same recorded song over and over and over for nearly an hour?! Maybe with a new pop song, but this was a live voice. Also, I went outside to listen and the sound was coming from inside the apartment!

Here’s what I could understand of the song’s chorus:

Of course, there’s a clear message there, like Kili (and now I really think it’s her) can’t quite connect to me through the veil?
But she wants to connect to me, apparently. Very much so if she kept that up for nearly an hour!
Also, “morning dew” makes me think of our back area that gets enshrouded in mist most nights. It is its own microclimate of several acres between two ridges. The wetlands emit fog most nights, sometimes even in the driest summers. So… I need to meet her there?

And I keep thinking of the way that woman who peered at me from the kitchen door vestibule stared at me for several seconds now that I know it’s Kili. She wasn’t afraid of me, but there was a longing, or a curiosity, or… something to her otherwise neutral expression.

I’m touched, but also confused. I don’t know enough about what’s happening here. I’ve been doing a LOT of reading of Reese’s faerie books. She’s got the stuff written by real witches and historians, NOT the “crystal rainbow” bullshit of the New Age crowd who thinks all fae are little Tinkerbell sprites who look like cute children! No, faeries can be arbitrary and reactionary and dangerous. Not like demons or Jinn, but you don’t want to piss them off, that’s for sure. However, having them as allies is supposed to offer many advantages that humans have wanted and exploited for a long time. Witches especially.

This is so fucking weird.
