Too Much Happening-- No Time To Write!

I’m alive… for now!

Tuesday morning I go in for my oral/facial surgery and I won’t be able to write much for maybe a week? I don’t know how my pain levels will be after having my flesh cut open and my bone scraped out and all that. It will take a full year to get the bone to grow back in (after I get cadaver bone in a grow gel pumped into my skull!) Yeah! Fun, huh?

Meanwhile, I’ve been back down to Oregon and I forgot the extra keyboard I got from Mike (omg– so sweet of him!) so I couldn’t type and work on my back-dated entries when I had actual time to write.

And– then there’s the “sanity” behavior I engage in when I’m overwhelmed, and it’s all about escapism. I get bored and eventually come back to harsh reality to deal with it (by writing) but I am behind for a reason. Dealing with my mother is completely awful, and I’m trying to rescue my sister, and there are issues so she can’t move in with me yet.

But I am keeping notes every day so I don’t forget what happened and when.

If nothing else, the surgery gets me a month of down time from most obligations, so once I feel up to it, I can return to writing.

More going on– the derelict mobile home has been demolished and the crap hauled away, so now we have a bare space to place my sister’s home when we get to that point. The water and electric lines were protected and can be hooked up to the new building when it comes, too!

I got my loan so I could get my surgery, plus enough extra to add to my savings to buy a new computer (hopefully not one with a crap power cord this time!) I’ve managed to hit most of my goals in the last 2 months, but it has been a whirlwind, that’s for sure.
