As an administrator, I have been stuck at school with students who were not picked up for whatever reason. It is really scary for me to realize that many of these students don’t know their own parent’s phone numbers…. I’m talking 5th graders! When this happens, I always give the mini-lecture of memorizing phone numbers or at least having a list in their backpack. What would happen if they were lost and someone wasn’t around?
