What’s In Your Car Survival Kit? Essential Items Every Prepper Should Have in their Vehicles
When on the road you never what emergency might happen, even if you are the most experienced and careful driver and you take good care of your vehicle. Remember that there are all other sorts of people also using the road. There are also things that might occur that are out of your control. Prepare for anything that might or could happen by stocking up your vehicle with the right survival items.
Listed below are items that you should have in your vehicle. You may need them in case of an emergency:
Water
Well you know how important water is so make sure you have enough with you always.
Put water in a jug or in a water bottle and you should carry these items with you:
- Water purification tablets
- Water filter
- Purified water packets
Candy
Candies have sugar in them and sugar is a good provider of energy.
Chewing Gum
Chewing gum has a lot of uses like you can use this to temporary repair some damage in your car like a leaky hose. Chewing gum can help release stress and help you concentrate.
First Aid Kit
Another important item to have in your vehicle is a first aid kit. You’ll need it to apply first aid to yourself or others in case an accident happens and help won’t arrive immediately.
Food
You need food if you’re going to travel far. Bring foods such as energy bars, canned goods, powdered soups, nuts, camping meals; you can bring any foods you like as long as they will not spoil while in the trunk of your car.
Sanitary Supplies
You need sanitary supplies for hygienic purposes. Some sanitary supplies that you will need are toilet paper, hand sanitizer, facial tissue, hand towel, and hand wipes.
Escape tools
Bring tools that will help you escape in case you get trapped in your car. You can bring a life hammer, a tow strap, and a folding shovel.
Communication Items
You need ways to call for help in case you have an accident and you got stuck in your car. A cell phone can be a great item to have so that you can call somebody for help. Make sure that your cell phone is fully charged so check the battery before you leave your house.
Flash Light
You can use a flash light to signal for help in case your car lights are not working. Make sure to keep the batteries fresh.
Gloves
Use gloves if you are going to repair something to avoid hurting yourself.
Sleeping bags/blankets/extra clothing
You will need sleeping bags/blankets/extra clothing when you got stuck in your car, especially if the weather is cold.
