I agree that there will be at least a few nuclear events during the end times, but I suspect the even bigger problem is a natural, predictable, cosmic cycle of destruction. Our ancestors have had advanced civilizations before; the galactic center has regular outbursts that agitate all stars and planets. Read LaViolette, or Schoch, or Montaigne. I think the next such event horizon will reach Earth in late 2019.

Those spaceships are most likely already in orbit now but the supplies must come from undisclosed location through the use of smaller spaceships via underground military bases.
They know EXACTLY the date when this will happen, therefore the amount of supplies must be adequate to keep the “passengers” alive for a long period of time.
I have no clue for how long, but try to imagine how long it would take for the earth to recover from a close call with a giant planet… probably months.

Preparation for war and subsequent escape is a long term plan.
The trouble with bunkers is that they cram a lot of people into a small space. Humans can barely function near each other as it is. Lot them up in a can and it is going to be a nightmare. A number of studies have backed this is and it is one of the reason no long duration space mission away from Earth are planned.
People will have to eventually be drugged to keep them from tearing each other apart in the bunkers. That’s one thing I wonder if the elite have considered. Sure they have for the masses, if they let any of them in, but what about themselves? Being power hungry control freaks, Type A drama queens, radical hedonists, etc., and combinations thereof, it will get really bizarre in there.
I’ve spent a little time in an old family storm cellar because of severe weather. The threat of the hurricane outside and possible tornadoes added a lot of extra tension to the scene. Imagine that in a real “end times” scenario and knowing you can’t go outside and enemies might be actively hunting you. That’s going to make it VERY hard on the people in the shelter, very high stress.
Anyone who is foolish enough to believe that you are gonna hunker down in a hole with you’re family and store all the ammo you can and food is going to survive is just pure nuts!. I don’t care how much ammo you have. This mentality of thinking about you and you’re family has to come to an end!. We are human and we are compassionate! and those that rule everything have each and all of us pitted against one another. This has to stop! and if SHTF is going to happen we are going to start to learn that as a community will be the only way to survive. There are gangs out there cutting and chainsawing people to death! and they have firepower that you can never match! and one way or another!! they will get into you’re bunker. Stop being selfish and self centered!, get others who are like minded involved because the more you have! the better you’re chances of fending off those who wanna take you’re life and what you have!. COMMON PEOPLE! AS AMERICANS WE CAN BE BETTER THAN WHAT THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE US BE!. Don’t get me wrong I’m not knocking people preparing themselves as best as they can. However I find it fascinating how people think burying themselves like moles will protect them in the long run if such nuclear events were to happen. It won’t matter how much food, water and air filters people have stockpiled within underground bunkers it won’t last indefinitely and they will face contamination at some point.
i say we find the bunkers for the elites and weld the doors closed and cut the solar panels off as well as the win mills . plug up the air intakes and set back and have a beer and wait .
