Bushcraft 101

Learning the art of bushcraft is not only great way to gain valuable survival skills, it is also a great way to put those skills to use. There is nothing that will test your resolve better than taking your pack, a few tools, and heading out to survive only off the land. By doing so, you will learn which skills need a lot more practice, and which ones just need to be polished. Like prepping, getting started in bushcrafting can be overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. Bushcrafting is more about gaining skills and knowledge than about buying the latest and greatest gadget.

Next time you go fishing, try leaving the pole and lures at home. Learn to make a fish trap, or learn a different method of fishing and put it to use. Figure out what works for where you are located.
