ENTRY #11 & #12 SHTF “Go To” Knife photo contest

Here are a few entries in the MSO SHTF “Go To” Knife contest. The best one selected will win a Gerber Machete Pro.

I am not looking for a picture of a knife laying on the kitchen counter – somehow make it unique and interesting. Set your entry apart from the rest. This could be something unique with the picture or maybe the description – or both.

Chances are your SHFT “Go To” Knife will be the one you are standing there with when everything goes to hell in a hand basket. My EDC (Every Day Carry) knife is the Gerber S30V. It is very well built and keeps an edge well. The manufacture touts it as;:

This is my slightly modified 5″ blade Condor Rodan I’ve had for about 4 years now. It rides in my GHB every single day & on nearly every camping trip. The handle was slabbed from it’s circular pattern to better fit my hand and a small length of paracord braided on the handle, not shown is the kydex sheath I had made so it rides a bit higher on my hip instead of it’s equally stout leather sheath that comes with it.

As you can see, I use this knife and thankful its 1075 steel sharpens easy after hard use but I’ll be putting a different edge on it this spring. I have a couple more expensive knives, but I always seem to keep going back to this. I can make feather sticks, baton forearm sized pieces of wood, strike a ferro rod against its spine, it’s been soaked, it’s been used to pry apart pallets, left outside, it’s been used to cut veggies and meat for camp dinners. How more multi-use can it be and still work?
