Gardening Tip: I often make mounds of dirt 6″-8″ high and a foot or so across and about 24″ wide. I plant a couple cucumber plants 6″ from each end and then directly in the middle I dig down and place a plastic flower pot with its top flush with ground. When I hand water from my rain barrel I will water the flower pot in the middle. The water leaks ut from the holes in the bottom of the plastic flower pot and goes directly to the roots.

Local Sam’s CLub has large #10 cans of whole potato’s for $1.91. Excellent deal. Expiration date is in a little over a year. Understand that 5 years from now I will happily eat those potato’s. When it comes to canned goods I feel pretty safe eating most anything years after their expiration date. Regardless – rotation is important.
