left the tent door open for hours, while took a hike in a trail then came back and realized raccoons a lot of them ate all our food anbd some still there while still eating the rest
My story, happened in Colorado. We also had horses with us. They were so spooked, couldn’t ride. When the bear ripped the tent, my husband yelled at him which woke me up. Husband said don’t worry, got the .357. Fine and dandy except I was between husband and bear. Yikes!
Had a very similar experience in Idaho, it was scary!
I have had bears around my tent too,but they were passing thru, thank goodness. But, they decided to stop and have a conversation right outside my tent,, I didnt sleep well that night.
