I searched for suitable tactical .22 caliber alternatives with the adjustability I was looking for but there was nothing that was legal in New York,” explained Steve Leasure, inventor of the HT60 and Founder of Hunting Tactical. “Using my experience from being in the New York Army National Guard I began to craft the design of the HT60 to stay within the legal boundaries and still bring these needed modern features to the rifle. The Model 60 is tube-fed rifle and tube-fed rifles are specifically exempted in the S.A.F.E. Act.”

The HT60 makes the Model 60 rifle fully adjustable maximizing the value for all shooters. The HT60 is the first Model 60 stock to use an industry standard buffer tube design. Combined with a pivoting ergonomic stock, allowing for perfect sight alignment, the butt stock on the HT60 can be adjusted plus or minus 1-5/8 inches in length; allowing it to fit all shooters from youth to adult.

“When I made the change from Rabbit to Raccoon hunting with my hounds a few years ago, I took out my old Glenfield (Marlin) Model 60 I got as my first rifle when I was 10 years old.” Steve Leasure said. “I quickly learned the rifle was cumbersome in the woods compared to the tactical rifles I was used to in the military. It also could not easily accept the standard accessories the sport needed.”

The new patented design allows the shooting enthusiast to adjust the rake angle of the pistol grip (angle of the grip in relation to the receiver) as well as the longitudinal position or distance to the trigger. The tactical design combines industry standard, positionable, tri-Picatinny Rails and will allow shooting enthusiasts to utilize existing accessories not available on the Model 60’s today. This makes the Model 60 the rifle for a lifetime.
