AmmoLand & Brownell’s Roadtrip Hits Colorado Springs & Red Leg Brewing Co.

Colorado Springs, CO –-(Ammoland.com)- AmmoLand’s editor Duncan Johnson and Patrick from the Firearm Rack rolled into Colorado Springs driving Patrick’s 2016 Toyota Tacoma with Brownells “Convoy ‘Cross America” tour Sunday afternoon. While in Colorado Springs they hit up the Red Leg Brewing Company for a tour of the brewery and comradery with a great turnout of public in the brewery’s tap room.

A US Army Veteran founded Red Leg Brewing Company on Independence Day five years ago. Their name even comes from the battlefields of the Civil War. During the war artillery, soldiers were designated on the field by a cardinal stripe on their pant leg. The stripe denoted the soldier’s location on the field of battle.

The Red Leg Brewing Company’s craft beers are named to honor current and former members of the US military. From Helo Hefe, Howitzer amber ale, Blue Nose, Devil Dog, and Twin Tail their beers salute those in the US Military who keep us safe here at home and abroad.

Guests at the Red Leg Brewing Company event will have the pleasure of meeting one of the heroes of Benghazi, John “Tig” Tiegan. Tig is the co-author of “13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi“, which was later adapted by Michael Bay into a blockbuster Hollywood movie.

The book was about Tig and his team of CIA contractors in Benghazi attempting to rescue Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and the staff of the US Annex in Libya during the September 11th, 2012 attacks with little help from Washington. Fighting against incredible odds, he became a hero and a household name to millions. Tig is an essential member of the Brownells Burea of Propaganda and an outspoken Second Amendment supporter that is not afraid to speak his mind.

Also, at the stop was the crew from the “We Like Shooting Podcast.” The well-loved podcast is the flagship of the Firearms Radio Network based out of Colorado Springs under the direction of Shawn Herrin. Shawn will be joined by Ava Flanell from the “Gun Funny Podcast” and fellow host Aaron Kreiger.

Hank Strange drove his Audi R8 from Leesburg, Florida and has made every stop of the trip. Brownells Convoy Cross America was, in fact, Hank’s baby, and he has brought his special brand of enthusiasm for cars, guns, and the 2A lifestyle!

Brownells Bureau of Propaganda Director-in-Chief Ryan Repp and Deputy Director Josh Coburn have been leading the charge across the country in their surprisingly fast 2018 Chevrolet land yacht. Both Ryan and Josh are the ideal ambassadors for Brownells mission to make to someones day across the country every day.

Not only did the crew check out Red Leg Brewing, but they also got a chance to check out the collection of the one and only Dragon Man. Dragon Man, whose real name is Mel Bernstein, has been called the most armed man in America.

His massive collection consists of 80 machine guns, tanks, jeeps, and every other military vehicle you can think of. The collection is massive and he was more than happy to share it with Duncan and Patrick.

The next stop for the Convoy will be at Novak Jeep Conversions in Logan, Utah. What could be more American than Jeeps?
