POTUS to Attend NYC Veterans Day Parade to Honor America’s Heroes

USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- On Monday, November 11, President Donald J. Trump will address America’s veterans at the 100th Annual Opening Ceremony of the New York City Veterans Day Parade. President Trump is the first President to accept the invitation to address the Veterans Day Parade.

After his remarks, the President will lay a wreath at the Eternal Light Memorial.

The President has been a tireless champion for our veterans – ensuring they receive the care, service, and respect they deserve.

On July 4, 2019, President Trump hosted the “Salute to America,” an Independence Day celebration on the National Mall, where he praised the sacrifice and bravery of our veterans, service members, and their families. In 2018, the President signed into law the historic CHOICE Act, which greatly expanded private healthcare options for our nation’s heroes.

“On behalf of all the men and women who have served our nation, and who continue to serve, the United War Veterans Council is honored that our Commander in Chief, President Donald J. Trump, has agreed to join our 100th annual tribute,” said Doug McGowan, Chairman of the United War Veterans Council Board. “This is a day when we put politics aside to focus on honoring our veterans, and to re-commit ourselves as a community to providing them with the services they have earned, the services they deserve and, for many, the services they were denied. We thank and commend President Trump for leading that effort on this Centennial, and we acknowledge his historic support for our activities here in New York City.”

“The President has been great supporter of our veterans and indeed this parade here in New York City for more than 25 years,” said Bill White, 2019 Parade Co-Producer. “What he is doing now as President with regard to veterans choice, funding our military, and holding them and their families in the highest regard is truly extraordinary. He is loved by our veterans for sure.“

The New York City Veterans Day Parade, hosted by the United Way Veterans Council, is the largest commemoration of America’s veterans. President Trump will be accompanied by the 38th Commandant of the Marine Corps General David H. Berger.
